Hydrogen Power Blog

I’ve read that it takes energy to extract hydrogen from water. Then you have hydrogen which can make cars move. But does that mean hydrogen is energy in itself? Can hydrogen be used to extract more hydrogen from water?

And what does that entail for water? Drinking supplies are already threatened so i guess the only option is desalination – but that takes even more energy! Can hydrogen be used to power desalination plants to get water from which to make hydrogen?

Please, someone clear this up for me.
